I’m excited to announce that Dreamland writer Aaron Vanek and I will be attending the HP Lovecraft Film Festival in Portland, Oregon on October 4-6 (next weekend)!! We will be running two Dreamland games at Battlegrounds Gaming Cafe (3738 NE Sandy Point Blvd), as well as doing a panel discussion on “Filming the Dreamlands”!

October 4, 12PM-4PM, Battlegrounds Gaming Cafe – Band on the Run (DMed by Aaron): This scenario is a starter pistol for Dreamland adventures and begins with a bang! The Dreamers are pursued by a powerful, mysterious enemy and hounded by slightly less intimidating human groups for crimes unknown.
October 5, 1PM-2PM, Sonder Bar – Filming the Dreamlands: The words “Lovecraftian film” conjure tentacles and terror, but what about Lovecraft’s fantasy world, the Dreamlands? Our panelists give a visual overview of Dreamlands (and Dreamland-adjacent) movies, and talk about the challenges and potential of adapting the Dreamlands, including the upcoming The Dreamlands feature film. Featuring Jason Bradley Thompson, Aaron Vanek, Edward Martin III and Cody Goodfellow.
October 5, 2:30PM-6:30PM, Battlegrounds Gaming Cafe – Children of the Sea (DMed by Jason): A great storm brings something marvelous to Dothur, a humble island in the Middle Ocean. Now your dream-selves must get off the beach and sail to the ends of Mtal—past sea serpents, pirates and untold dangers—to right a wrong, heal broken hearts and save the Children of the Sea.
